For more than 700 years it has perched proudly in a rocky cliff over 100 metres high: powerful and defiant – an impregnable fortress. Today’s castle dates from the Renaissance period, but the date of its construction is confirmed by a coat of arms of its owners, the Kobenzl family, from 1583.
